Druhá realizácia bistra SOHO sa nachádza na treťom podlaží nákupného centra AUPARK v Bratislave. Pôvodne bola na mieste tejto prevádzky írska reštaurácia, s rustikálne ladeným interiérom. Toto podlažie je takmer celé vyhradené gastro prevádzkam, prevažne fastfoodového charakteru.

The second establishment of the SOHO franchise bistro is located within the shopping store Aupark in Bratislava, Slovakia. The interior space, formerly an Irish restaurant, had a rustic design. Located on the third floor, which serves to gastro, the restaurant is surrounded by mostly fast-food culture.

Koncept SOHO však ponúka špecifickú atmosféru pomalšieho stolovania, preto sme priestor reštaurácie od pasáže opticky oddelili vloženou čiernou stenou. Tá prevádzke vytvára hranu, avšak svojou perforáciou necháva interiér čitateľný aj z pasáže. Samotným vizuálom interiéru sa zámerne snažíme búrať naleštenosť prevádzok obchodného centra a vytvoriť surovší ale úprimný interiér. Vložený box kuchyne so zázemím je obložený vlnitým perforovaným plechom, pripomína zaparkovaný americký foodtruck. Motív vlny sa opakuje na betónovom obklade barového pultu. Stropná konštrukcia je priznaná, zjednotená čiernou farbou.

However, the concept of SOHO offers a different atmosphere, that of the slow dining experience. Therefore, a black cladded wall was introduced to the space to visually separate the interior from the surrounding fast-pace environment. While the separation creates a hard boundary, the interior of the SOHO restaurant is still observable from the outside through the wall’s perforations. The bold but pure visual concept for the design of SOHO contrasts strongly with the stylised look of the neighbouring businesses. The core motif of the interior design is the play with the tectonic wall, the materialisation of which changes with each realisation of the SOHO franchise. The kitchen, confined in a box, is cladded with corrugated perforated metal sheets, evocative of the food truck dining culture. The wave profile of the corrugated sheet is reproduced in the solid mould of the concrete finish of the bar.

Mobiliár je jednoduchý, vyhotovený z bukovej morenej preglejky. Pracujeme s motívom materiálovej steny, ktorá je v každej prevádzke materiálovo alternovaná. Hliníkový perforovaný plech pôsobí kontrastne voči mäkkej dubovej podlahe. Priestor benefituje z dostatečného presvetlenia cez zasklenú stenu orientovanú na letnú terasu, večernú atmosféru dotvára intímne osvetlenie stolov a žiarovková girlanda, ktorá vytvára teplé difúzne svetlo.

The glossy aluminium cladding contrasts with the warm beech parquet flooring. The furnishing is also of beech plywood, uniform and minimal in design. The ceiling structure and the fixtures are exposed and visually unified by a black layer of coat. The interior of the restaurant gains plenty of natural light through the glazed wall oriented towards the sun deck. The intimate evening atmosphere is established by lights fixtures above the individual dining tables, and the festoon lights adding an ambient warm glow.
